Mrs. Ruby Lee Flowers, age 67, of Lawrenceville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born July 4, 1943 in Atlanta, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Fred Coleman Pattillo and the late Mrs. Ruth Estelle Rollings Pattillo. She was of the Church of God Faith and was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, James “Jimmy” Flowers of Lawrenceville; her children and their spouses, Bessie Mae Maxwell of Pueblo, Colorado, James Edward Brooks of Greensboro, Alabama; Martin Boyd and Micki Brooks of Auburn, Georgia; Carton Eugene and Gladys Brooks of Lawrenceville, Georgia; David and Leigh Ann Flowers of Lavalley, Alabama; and Rhonda and Clay Travis of Bremen, Georgia; her sister and brother-in-law, Penny and David Chitwood of Stockbridge, Georgia; half brothers, Fred Coleman Pattillo, Jr. and David Pattillo; 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 2:00 PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, with Minister Hoyt Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Ellenwood, Georgia. The following will serve as pallbearers: Ronnie Allen, Martin Brooks, David Flowers, Dannie Flowers, John Hester, and Joe Parceil. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel Saturday, July 2, 2011 from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour.
