Ruby Jackson Waddell

Mrs. Ruby Jackson Waddell, 97, of Cown Road, Georgia passed away Sunday, December 11, 2005 at Haralson County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bremen, Georgia. She was born March 4, 1908, in Haralson County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Felix Edgar Jackson and the late Mary Susan Ayers Jackson. Mrs. Waddell was the oldest charter member of New Brooklyn Baptist Church. She was a housewife. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Waddell was preceded in death by her husband, John William Waddell, her brothers, Luther Jackson and Horris Jackson, her sisters, Elsie Harper, Florine Morris and Winifred Cash, her grandson, Tim Bridges and her great-grandchild, Tony Bridges, Jr. Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Mildred Bridges of Temple, Mavis Henson of Temple and Jean and Buck Jones of Bremen; her son, W. J. “Billy” Waddell of Temple; her sister-in-law, Gordie Johnson of College Park; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. Milford Ballenger and Rev. Aaron Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at New Brooklyn Cemetery in Temple, Georgia. The family will be receiving friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Monday, December 12, 2005, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com.
