Mrs. Ruby Jane Pass Newborn, age 82, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Sunday, September 9, 2012. A native of Douglas County, Georgia, she was born October 9, 1929 in Douglasville the daughter of the late Mr. Eddie Ernest Pass and the late Mrs. Lily Williams Pass. She attended New Fellowship Baptist Church and retired from Southeast Yarns where she worked as a fabric inspector. Mrs. Newborn was devoted to her family and loved taking care of the home and yard. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, fishing, and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Amos Bullard âDocâNewborn, Jr.; sisters, Lucy Ellis and Frances Jeffares; and brother, Frank Dempsey. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Deborah and Ed Dutton, and Donna Newborn all of Lithia Springs; sons and daughters-in-law, Darrell and Denise Newborn, Doug and Martha Newborn, and Danny and Sharon Newborn all of Lithia Springs; sister, Martha Wallace of Lithia Springs; brothers and sisters-in-law, Luther and Wenoka Pass of Beaumont, Mississippi and James and Patricia Pass of Meade, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Robbie Newborn, Jr., Danny Jr. and Morgan Newborn, Chelsea and Tim Jones, George Jr. and Amanda Ashmore, William Newborn, Robert Newborn, and Molly Dutton; three great-grandchildren, Tripp Newborn, Ralph Ashmore, and Tommy Ashmore; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Tuesday, September 11, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Rev. Terry Marbut officiating.
