Ruby Newell

Mrs. Ruby Lee Newell, age 85 of Fairplay, passed away Friday, March 22, 2019. She was born June 11, 1933, the daughter of the late Mr. Robert E. Lee Morris and Mrs. Mattie Lou Bishop Morris. Mrs. Newell was a member of Douglas Chapel Church of God.In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Thomas Newell; son, Edward Newell; grandchild, Joey Charles Newell; brothers, Alford Morris, Horace Morris, Edger Morris; sisters, Cleophus Hendrix, Mary Nell Jenkins, and Doris Faulkner.She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Aubry Donald and Cynthia Newell of Lula, Kenneth Newell and Samantha Tolbert of Nashville; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Sunday, March 24, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 25, 2019 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Villa Rica with Pastor Tommy Bailey officiating.
