Ruby Ward

Mrs. Ruby June Ward, age 83 of Lithia Springs, passed away Monday, January 14, 2019. She was born June 19, 1936. She enjoyed vacationing in the mountains. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lithia Springs where she was involved in her Sunday School Class and Church. She was a judge in the 1996 Olympic Games. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim T. Ward; son, Danny Griswell; sister, Janet Brantley; brother, Bill Slayton; nephew, Mike Brantley.She is survived by two grandchildren, Kyle and Adam Griswell; two great grandchildren, Daniel and Lillian Griswell; three nieces, Lisa Brantley, Lawanna Crile, and Deborah Newell; numerous great nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church Lithia Springs, Friday, January 18, 2019 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 18, 2019 at 2:00 PM from The First Baptist Church of Lithia Springs with Rev. Kevin McCoy officiating.
