Rudie Goodwin

Mrs. Rudie Bamba Adderhold Goodwin, age 94, of Lithia Springs, passed away, Sunday, January 29, 2017. She was born April 7, 1922 in Piedmont, AL the daughter of the late Mr. John F. Adderhold and the late Mrs. Della Anderson Adderhold. Mrs. Goodwin was a homemaker who loved gardening, cooking, sewing, crocheting, listening to Gospel music, especially the Gaithers. She loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren most of all. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Thurston F. Goodwin, son, Gary Goodwin; granddaughter Crystal Snow, four sisters and six brothers.She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca “Becky” and Samuel Templeman of Hampton, Linda and Sidney Southards of Lithia Springs; sister, Judy Grace of Centre, AL; daughter-in-law, Tina Goodwin of Monroe; six grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Virgil Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery.
