Mr. Russell Thomas Hindmon, age 49, of Carrollton, passed away, Friday, November 29, 2019. He was born March 16, 1970 in Atlanta the son of Mr. Thomas Hubert Hindmon and the late Ms. Elaine Marsha Honea Hindmon. Mr. Hindmon served in the United States Navy, which included a deployment on the USS Theodore Roosevelt during the Operation Desert Storm in 1991. For many years he was a professional truck driver; most recently Mr. Hindmon worked for Chief Container as a forklift operator. He enjoyed eating hot wings with Savanna, attending country music concerts and playing pool, earning the nickname "Sharky". In recent years Mr. Hindmon developed a passion for riding his motorcycle in charity rides for causes he cared about. He was a fun-loving person who enjoyed showing how he cared by making thoughtful crafts for people in his life. One of the most important parts of Russell's life was his role as a proud, caring, and loving dad.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frank and Lois Mae Honea; paternal grandparents, Thomas Cleve and Argie Martin Hindmon; aunt, Nancy Lambert.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Savanna Hindmon Davenport of Douglasville, Brittany and Jonathan Wilson of Suffolk, VA; father and step-mother, Thomas Hubert and Patsy Hindmon of Winston; sisters and brothers-in-law, Stacey and Zac Pelfrey of Adairsville, Tiffany and Drew Cash of Suwanee; brother and sister-in-law, Kyley and Ellen Hindmon of Memphis, TN; step-sister, Barbara Laymon of Douglasville; girlfriend, Michelle Holland; aunts, Kim Cofer, Susan Clonts, and Virginia Jarrett; uncle, Benny Honea; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Memorial Services will be conducted at a later date.
