Ruth Duncan Wood James

Mrs. Ruth Duncan Wood James, age 82, of High Point Road, Douglasville, Georgia passed away Sunday, January 25, 2009 at Wellstar Douglas General Hospital in Douglasville, Georgia. She was born February 6, 1926 in Scotland County, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Mr. Walter E. Duncan and the late Mrs. Lula Mae Jones. Mrs. James was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time in her garden with her flowers. She is survived by her husband, Mr. William Paul James of Douglasville; her sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Allen and Pat Wood of Douglasville and Walter Donald and Georgeann Wood of Davie, Florida; her three grandchildren, Clinton, Garrett and Devon and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Pastor Jerry Faver and Pastor Don Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville, Georgia. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville Tuesday, January 27, 2009 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
