Mrs. Louise Price Marlow, age 97, of Villa Rica, GA, formerly of Chattanooga, TN, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015. She was born July 21, 1917. She was a devoted Christian ministerâs wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a 1936 graduate of Central High School in Chattanooga. After a brief career as a hair stylist, she married and was dedicated to her husband, Dr. John Broadus Marlow, sharing his ministry for 70 years. The couple attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary together.She was a teacher, counselor, artist, seamstress and friend to all. She followed her husband and his calling to the service of Jesus Christ in all his places of service-Georgia, Texas, Tennessee, Alabama and Colorado, Retiring to their Garden of Eden in Villa Rica, Georgia, they continued to serve in churches as interim ministers all across Georgia and Alabama. Louise was involved in the state Southern Baptist Conventions in all states they served, but was the Youth Director for the entire Colorado Convention during their tenure there. Louise is preceded in death by her father, Mr. Fred Monroe Price; mother, Mrs. Ola Elizabeth Williams Price both of Chattanooga, sister, Martha Price; brother, Howard Price both of Chattanooga; daughter, Judy Marlow. She is survived by her sisters, Florence Price Lawrence and Flora Price Schultz, both of Chattanooga, brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Arlene Price of Sarento, Fl. She was the loving, sacrificial and wise mother to her three children, Karen Marlow Burley of Chattanooga, TN, Robyn Marlow Young of Villa Rica, GA; son, Dr. J. B. âNickâ Marlow, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Elaine Marlow of Columbia, SC. Mrs. Marlow was grandmother to eight, Lt. Col. William and Abigail Burley, Fayetteville, NC, Marlow Louise Burley of Chattanooga, TN, Dr. Troy J. and Leslie Marlow of Charleston, SC, Paul Young of Villa Rica, GA, Evyn Young and Thomas Crocker of LaGrange, GA, Steven and Gwen Marlow of Columbia, SC, Alison and Rusty Branham of Irmo, SC. and Phillip and Ginger Young of Newnan, GA; fourteen great-grandchildren and countless nieces and nephews all whom she loved dearly and who love her. Her wishes are that donations be made to the Marlow Library First Baptist Church of Villa Rica, GA. A life well lived, a job well done, a reward well deserved. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Friday, March 20, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, March 21, 2015 from First Baptist Church of Villa Rica at 11:00 AM with Rev. Kevin Williams and Jeff Powell officiating.
