Mrs. Ruth Summerville Lee, 88, of Old Newnan Road, Carrollton, Georgia passed away Friday, July 1, 2005 at Oak Mountain Village Healthcare in Carrollton, Georgia. She was born June 30, 1917, in Haralson County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Charlie Summerville and the late Beulah Walker Summerville. Mrs. Lee was a lifetime member of New Brooklyn Baptist Church of Villa Rica and also sang in the choir. She worked as a seamstress for 15 years for Sewell Manufacturing. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Lee; her son, Charles Horton; five brothers, Eugene Summerville, Troy Summerville, William Rowe Summerville, Lige Augusta Summerville and Oscar Summerville; two sisters, Sallie Clifton and Dollie Mae Carroll and daughter-in-law, Audrey Lee. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Pearl and Bobby Winkles of Carrollton and Betty and George Robinson of Villa Rica; sons and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Brenda Lee of Newell, Alabama and William H. Lee of Carrollton; daughter-in-law, Darlene Horton of Villa Rica; sister, Ida Ivey of Temple; brother, Oliver Dick Summerville of Temple; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, July 3, 2005 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. Aaron Johnson and Rev. Walter Greene officiating. Interment will follow at New Brooklyn Church Cemetery in Villa Rica. The family will be receiving friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Saturday, July 2, 2005 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
