Ruth Williams

Mrs. Ruth “Marvene” Parson Williams, age 89, of Temple, passed away, Tuesday, January 9, 2018. She was born January 26, 1928 in Paulding County, the daughter of the late Mr. Marvin Bealor Parson and the late Mrs. Flora Mae Judkins Parson. Mrs. Williams was a skilled seamstress, a wonderful cook, and an accomplished gardener. She was a big fan of Southern Gospel music. She was also the epitome of a homemaker. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. Her family meant the most. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, O’Neal Williams; brother, Fred Parson, and sister, Reba Parson.She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Bobby Hudgins of Villa Rica; sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Yvonne Williams of Temple, Dennis and Sally Williams of Villa Rica, David and Beth Williams of White Bluff, TN; sister, Grace Camp of Douglasville; brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Annette Parson of Tifton; eight grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Friday, January 12, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Joel Grubbs officiating.
