Sadie Joan Lovell, 76, of Whitesburg, Georgia passed away Sunday, March 2, 2008 at Carrollton Manor. Mrs. Lovell was born September 14, 1931 in Douglas County, Georgia the daughter of the late Earnest and Mary Ellen Strickland. Mrs. Lovell was a homemaker and a member of the Douglas Chapel Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Bobby Lovell; three children, Ralph Earnest Lovell, Mary Frances Lovell, and Elizabeth Ann Lovell; sisters, Pauline Buckelew, and Eula Mae Huff; and brothers, James Earnest Stricklan and Clyde Strickland. Survivors include daughters and sons in-law, Virginia Dianne and Mark Dorough of Villa Rica; Mary Jane and Nelson Collins of Carrollton; and Peggy Sue Kilpatrick of Whitesburg; son, Billy Randall Lovell of Loganville; sisters, Willie Jones of Temple, Dorothy Bell of Fairplay, and Jean Fountain of Fairplay; brother, Raymond Strickland also of Fairplay; five grandchildren, six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Minister Mike Brooks, Minister Jason Collins and Rev. James Massengill officiating. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens on Hickory Level Road in Villa Rica. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com.
