Sadie Post

Mrs. Sadie Mae Harper Post, age 77, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Wellstar Douglas Hospital. She was born may 1, 1934 in Covington, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. John Delanor Harper and the late Mrs. Jessica Mae Sharp Harper. She was a homemaker and was devoted to her family. In addition to her father and mother she was preceded in death by the woman that raised her, Fannie Moore. She is survived by her husband, Grady Henry Post, Jr. of Lithia Springs; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Scott Wood of Albany, Oregon; and Sheila Harrell and Clyde Hale of Douglasville; son, Julian Post of Oregon; brother, Jim Harper of Jonesboro; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, July 3, 2011 at 2:00 PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Post officiating. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs. The following will serve as pallbearers: Clyde Hale, Andy Herrell, Alex Herrell, Tony Denson, Wayne Herrell, Jr., and Cort Harvey. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel Saturday, July 2, 2011 from 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM.
