Sallie Garrett

Mrs. Sallie Kate Black Garrett, age 91, of Villa Rica passed away Friday, June 15, 2012. She was born February 23, 1921 in Fulton County, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. John Alexander Black and the late Mrs. Lilly Mae McFall Black. She loved bluegrass and gospel music, cooking, flowers and most of all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Sammy Lee Garrett; brothers, Virgil Black , Archie Black; sister, Eva Black and granddaughter, Jessica Rose Garrett. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Charles Leon and Zolla Garrett of Paulding County, Randy Lee Garrett of Paulding County and John Roger Garrett of Paulding County; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Sunday, June 17, 2012 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, June 18, 2012 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Brother Larry Weaver officiating. Interment will follow in Allgood Church Cemetery.
