Mr. Salvatore Michael âMikeâ Valdaro, Jr., age 77, of Winston, Georgia passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice following an extended illness. He was born August 8, 1933 in Brooklyn, New York the son of the late Mr. Salvatore Michael Valdaro, Sr. and the late Mrs. Madeline Dececco Valdaro. He attended The Church at Chapel Hill and retired from the Jersey City Government as a municipal employee. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine McCann Valdaro; sisters, Mary Napoleone, Lucy Klarman, Phil Esposito, Millie Americo; brothers, Alexander Valdaro, James Valdora, and Anthony Valdaro. He is survived by his two sons and daughter-in-law, Gerard âJerryâ Valdaro of Winston and Salvatore âSalâ Valdaro, III and his wife, Debra of Powder Springs; brothers, Dominick Valdaro of Long Island, NY, Joseph Valdora of Bath, New York, and John Valdora of Whiting, New Jersey; 1 granddaughter, Catherine Valdaro of Powder Springs; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel Friday, July 8, 2011 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and from 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Pastor Jeremiah Stingl officiating.
