Samuel Harwell

Mr. Samuel Lee Harwell, age 49, of Villa Rica, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018. He was born September 17, 1969, the son of Mr. Harold Dean Harwell and Mrs. Betty Stewart Harwell. He graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor’s Degree. He worked as a Loan Officer at Georgia’s Own Credit Union. He loved to play golf and loved music, played the drums for many years. He was a big man with a huge heart, and had many lifetime friends. He was a very humble and selfless man who loved the Lord and was a Christian man of faith which was shown by the way he lived. He coached kid’s sports for several years and was a big Carolina Panthers Fan. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Sarah Hartsfield Harwell, who he called his angel; daughters, Kathryn Harwell of Suwanee, Georgia, Grace Scherer, Belle Scherer, Lily Scherer all of Villa Rica, Georgia; sons, Preston Harwell of Suwanee, Georgia, Elijah Seay of Villa Rica, Georgia; brother and sister-in-law, Rick and Carol Harwell of Gastonia, North Carolina; father and mother-in-law, Terry and Sherry Hartsfield of Carrollton, Georgia; nieces and nephews, Graeme Harwell, Gavin and Becca Harwell, Mackenzie and Lane Ellison; great nephew, Jack Ellison.The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Saturday, December 29, 2018 from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville with Rev. Rick Harwell officiating.
