Mr. Samuel “Sam” David Norman, Sr., age 51, of Dallas, Georgia passed away Friday, March 3, 2017. He was born February 16, 1966 in Odessa, Texas, the son of the late Mrs. Billie Williams Galbreath and Mr. David Frederick Norman. He worked as a Forklift Operator at Inmark. He was a member of Fairhaven Baptist Church. He was a gun enthusiast and an avid outdoorsman. He was a devoted family man. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by stepfather, James Thomas Galbreath; and brother, James Frederick “Freddie” Norman, II. He is survived by his wife, Christel Burdett Norman of Dallas; three daughters and sons-in-law, Brittany and Mac Scott of Montgomery, AL, Amanda Willbanks and Jacob Sharp of Douglasville and Leah Hamel of Dallas; one son, Samuel “Sam” Norman, Jr. and Macy Smith of Alpharetta; father and stepmother, David and Marci Norman of Fountain, FL; brothers and sisters-in-law, Keith and Amy Norman of Douglasville, Kevin and Christy Norman of Austell, and Tim Galbreath and Stacy Ray of Stockbridge; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lisa and Wayne Cosper of Carrollton, Melissa and John Doherty of Palos Verdes Estates, CA, and Kay Owen of Reno, NV; three grandchildren, Brandon, Makalah, and Jase, and their mother, Ivana Benavides; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Bella. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Pastor James Biddy officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mableton.
