Sandra Robertson

Mrs. Sandra Jo Robertson, 58, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Friday, May 29, 2015. Born in Erie, Pennsylvania 1956, Sandra is the daughter of Henry and Edna Terwilliger, and sister to five siblings. She is survived by her husband, Scott as well as two children, Elliott and Emily. A talented academic, Sandra excelled in her studies graduating with a B.S. in geology from Edinboro University in 1978 and an M.S. in geology from the University of Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1981. After leaving University she began her career working as an exploration Petroleum Geologist in Oklahoma. Following moving to Douglasville, Georgia in 1990 she began her tenure at Georgia’s Department of Natural Resources, securing clean water for its residents for over 25 years. Additionally, she continued her love of learning by teaching at Mercer’s Douglasville campus for more than 20 years. Sandra’s incredible compassion, generosity, patience, kindness and trust touched an untold number of lives. Throughout her life she always remained focused on her family. Her husband and children are humbled by her life and strive to live by her example.
