Mrs. Sara Helen Worthy Driver, age 72, of Carrollton, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome, Ga. She was born July 3, 1939 in Haralson County Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Alva Worthy and Mrs. Ruby Perry Worthy. She was a retired hairdresser. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Temple. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Terry Leatherwood and two sisters, Ruth Waldrop and Lois Davis She is survived by her husband Sherman Wayne Driver of Carrollton; daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Nicholas Wilson of Cartersville, Laurie and Marty Bennett of Newnan; sisters, Ruby Nell Swann of Haralson County, Bonnell Bannister of St. Louis, MO, Valarie Leatherwood of Douglasville; six grandchildren, Ashley Shanahan, Michelle Holmes, Brittney Taylor, Victoria Lord, Justin West, Dallas Bennett; eight great-grandchildren, Ashton Shanahan, Kiera Shanahan, Jada Hughes, Trenton Hughes, Ansley Dunn, Ella Lord, Izley Taylor, and Noa Lord. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica Thursday, January 26, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral Service will be conducted Friday, January 27, 2012 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. Larry Boswell officiating. Interment will follow in Buchanan Cemetery. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family from www.jones-wynn.com.
