Sarah Byrd

Mrs. Sarah Walker Byrd, 72, of Temple, Georgia passed away Friday, September 25, 2015. She was born October 19, 1942 in Atlanta, the daughter of the late Mr. George Reese Walker and the late Mrs. Mariam Daily Walker. She worked in the healthcare industry as a floor nurse. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Walker. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sheri Byrd and Bill Hunt of Eclectic, AL; two sons, Randy Byrd and Robby Byrd both of Temple; two sisters, Sue McHaffey of Fayetteville and Marie Griffin of Douglasville; seven grandchildren, Justin Hunt, Jeremy Hunt, Ashley Byrd, Amber Byrd, Caitlin Byrd, Haley Byrd and Jesse Byrd; five great-grandchildren, Betsy Byrd, Mary Jane Byrd, Braylin Hunt, Sophie Byrd, and Dylan Byrd; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Tuesday, September 29, 2015 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM. Memorial Services will be conducted Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica.
