Mrs. Sarah Louise Standridge White, 72, of Winston, Georgia passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2007. A Douglas County native, she was born March 19, 1935 the daughter of the late Mr. Steve W. Standridge and the late Mrs. Winford L. Barker Standridge. She married Rev. Johnny L. White June 30, 1956 in Conyers, Georgia. Mrs. White retired after many years of service as a bank teller. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Winston. She was a Proverbs 31 woman supporting her husband in his ministry. She was devoted to the Lord and it showed by her devotion to her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. She enjoyed word find puzzles and sewing. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Rev. Johnny L. White of Winston; two daughters and son-in-laws, Renae and James Stamps of Winston and Phyllis Ann and Russell Echols of Winston; one sister, Martha Daniel of Cedar Bluff, AL; four brothers and sister-in-laws, Chester and Bonnie Standridge of Lithia Springs, James and Laura Standridge of Idaho, Charles and Marilyn Standridge of Anchorage, Alaska, Larry and Bonnie Standridge of Douglasville; sister-in-law, Juanita Adams of Douglasville; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, October 19, 2007 at 2:00 PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Joey Vaughan and Rev. Ralph Tapley officiating. Musical selections will be rendered by Mrs. Vickie Marbut and Mrs. Pam Childers. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens. The following will serve as pallbearers: Corey Echols, Sam Stamps, Mark Adams, Kent Adams, Vince Adams and Jonathan Sinyard. Honorary pallbearer will be Wayne Gantt. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Thursday, October 18, 2007 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and Friday, October 19, 2007 from 9:00 AM until the funeral hour.
