Mrs. Sarah Viola Bowman Collum, 82, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014. She was born May 24, 1931 in Dallas, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Homer Clinton Bowman, Sr. and the late Mrs. Rachel Isabell Crowe Bowman. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Presbyterian Village. She was a member of the Douglasville Chapter of the Eastern Star. She was a devoted member of Liberty Baptist Church in Douglasville. She was devoted to her family and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie H. Collum, Sr.; son, Johnnie H. “Sonny” Collum, Jr.; sister, Nettie Seagraves; and brother, Billy Bowman. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Diane Dollar and Keith Kittredge of Douglasville; one daughter-in-law, Fran Collum of Douglasville; sister and brother-in-law, Hazel and T.W. Lord of Marietta; brothers and sisters-in-law, H.C. and Ruby Bowman of Marietta and Bobby and Linda Bowman of Douglasville; five grandchildren and their spouses, Shannon and Lisa Richardson of Douglasville, Mitchell Dollar of Douglasville, Malissa and Carlos Lopez of Auburn, AL, Desiree Collum of Douglasville, and Ashley and Josh Abercrombie of Douglasville; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Thursday, May 8, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, May 9, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Liberty Baptist Church in Douglasville with Rev. Terry Marbut officiating. She will lie in state at the church from 10:30 AM until 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs. The following will serve as pallbearers: Keith Kittredge, Shannon Richardson, Mitchell Dollar, Carlos Lopez, Jeff Graham, and Josh Abercrombie.
