Sarah Wallace Alford Toole

Mrs. Sarah Wallace Alford Toole, age 85, of Whitesburg, passed away, Wednesday, January 22, 2020. She was born December 5, 1934 in Carroll County, GA the daughter of the late Mr. Robert S. Martin and the late Mrs. Susie Louise Cash Martin. Mrs. Toole retired from Southwire after 36 years as a secretary. She volunteered with Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton and the VA Clinic in Carrollton. She was a master gardener, loved to work in the yard. She loved her children, grandchildren and family. Mrs. Toole was a long time faithful member of Flat Rock Baptist Church in Villa Rica. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Hobert Wallace, Louis Alford and James Toole; brother, Billy Martin Toole. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Keith Zimmerman of Whitesburg; son and daughter-in-law, Duane and Kathy Wallace of Carrollton; sister, Judy Bankston of Temple, Rachael Duffie of Carrollton; 7 grandchildren, Sammy Mickey of Villa Rica, Drew Wallace of Carrollton, Daniel and Paige Miller of Douglasville, Caitlin Brown of Villa Rica, Ryan Dobbs of Villa Rica, Dusty and Scotty Smith of Carrollton, Toni and Greg Drake of Carrollton; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Flat Rock Baptist Church in Villa Rica, Saturday, January 25, 2020 from 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Flat Rock Baptist Church, 961 Flat Rock Road, Villa Rica, GA 30180 with Dr. Jerry Brown and Rev. Greg Drake officiating. Interment will follow at Glenn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family asked that contributions be made to Smart Way Home Care, 500 Old Bremen Road, Suite 103, Carrollton, GA 30117.
