Shandra DeeAnn Whitehead, age 51, of Carrollton, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024. She was born on February 12, 1973, the daughter of Ruby Guyton Hulsey and the late Roscoe “Red” Jefferson Ward.
Shandra was a people person and enjoyed helping others. She loved her family and her dogs. She worked for many years as a waitress at The Waffle House. Shandra’s hobbies included playing Bingo and taking care of her mother’s business. She will be missed terribly by her family and friends.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her daughter Sharon Thrower and her brother, Brian Jefferson “BJ” Ward; step-father, "Johnny" Benjamin Hulsey.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Mark Whitehead; sons, Brian Thrower and Deven Blake Whitehead both of Carrollton, step-son, Robert Michael Whitehead of Dallas; step-daughter, Lisa Whitehead of Knoxville, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Kyle and Jessica Hulsey of Bremen, GA; two grandchildren; one niece Hannah Hulsey and nephew Hunter Hulsey; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
In accordance with her wishes, she was cremated. The family will have a graveside celebration of life service at Bowdon Church of God Cemetery at a later date.
