Mrs. Sharon Lou Wiegers Davis, age 54, of Temple, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016. She was born May 21, 1961 in Denver, CO the daughter of the late Mr. James Harold Wiegers and Mrs. Betty Lou Shurtz Wiegers Colburn. Mrs. Davis started her career in 1991 with the Douglas County Fire Department and worked for twenty four years where she worked as Paramedic Firefighter and her last five years as an EMS Logistical Administrator. Mrs. Davis and her husband are the owners of Davis Emergency Training Services, a company that specializes in training first responders for companies in the West Georgia area such as Southwire in Carrollton, and Honda Precision Parts of Georgia in Tallapoosa. She also taught CPR classes and trained many current EMT and Paramedics throughout the state. She received EMT of the year award in 1993, 1995, 2009 and in 2012, and also received the Star of life award in 2000. She is survived by her husband, Mike âRosieâ Davis of Temple; son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Amanda Alvis of Bowdon; daughter and son-in-law, Ami and Morgan Wynne of Temple; son, Kyle Davis of Temple; step-daughter, Dana Davis of Douglasville; mother, Betty Lou Colburn of Temple; brother and sister-in-law, John and Diane Wiegers of Denver, CO; four grandchildren, Gracie Alvis, Kali Alvis, Alyssa Wynne, Lena Davis; mother-in-law, Alene Davis of Rockmart; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Friday, April 22, 2016 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Mrs. Davis will lie in state from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Villa Rica. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 3:00 PM from First Baptist Church of Villa Rica with Minister Bill Gray and Minister Tommy Mann officiating.
