Sharon Elaine Messinger

Sharon Elaine Messinger, 85, of Villa Rica, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026. She was born on March 19, 1941, the daughter of the late Harry Everette Brockmeier and the late Sophie Atcheson Brockmeier.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Farren “Ed” Messinger; son, Michael Burr.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jennfer Cohen (Tim Thomas); sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Lisa Burr of Colorado, James and Rachel Heiselmeyer of Texas; step-daughter, Katherine and Rich Dreasen of Delaware; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Leo Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens.
