Sharon Waites Bailey

Mrs. Sharon Waites Bailey, age 67, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Thursday, July 9, 2009 at Emory University Hospital Midtown in Atlanta, Georgia. She was born July 30, 1941 in Cedartown, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. Josh E. Waites and the late Mrs. Idella Berry Waites. Mrs. Bailey was a member of True Vine Pentecostal Church. She was employed by BB&T where she was a bank teller. Mrs. Bailey was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all that knew her. She was well known for her vocal ability and sang around the area with her daughters. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by her brothers, David Waites and Edward Waites and her sister, Opal Johnson. Survivors include her husband, Mr. Marvin E. Bailey of Villa Rica; her daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Rev. Stan Flowers and Melinda and Rev. Dennis Agan, all of Villa Rica; her sister, Grace Sparks of Cedartown, her brother, Charles Waites of Cedartown; her sister-in-law, Betty Waites of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren, Holly Agan, Hillary Agan, Leah Flowers and Zach Flowers; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, July 12, 2009 at 3:00 PM from the True Vine Pentecostal Church with Revs. Stan Flowers, Eddie Allen and Benny Cole officiating. Musical selections will be rendered by Bo Callahan, Rev. Eddie Allen, Mrs. Penny Allen, Zach Flowers and Randi Martin and a recorded selection, performed by Mrs. Bailey from the Soul Purpose album, “The Answer”. Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Watts, Scott Watts, Chuck Waites, Aaron Allen, Gary Bailey and Christopher Bailey. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Villa Rica. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica on Friday, July 10, 2009 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM and Saturday, July 11, 2009 from 9:00AM until 9:00PM.
