Sheldon Reynolds Randolph, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on November 15, 2023, in Atlanta. He was born on January 16, 1955, in Fort Lauderdale, to the late Mr. Argerster "Gus" Randolph and the late Mrs. Louise Gadsen-Randolph.
Sheldon had a fulfilling career as a truck driver and his dedication to his work was admirable. In addition to his career, Sheldon was a man of many interests and hobbies. His passion for boating earned him countless adventurous moments spent on the waterways. He found joy in the peacefulness of fishing and often enjoyed the tranquility at Lake Allatoona. Sheldon also had a love for grilling and enjoyed family gatherings.
In addition to his parents, Sheldon is preceded in death by his loving wife of over 37 years, Mary Lue Randolph, and his son, Reginald “Reggie” Randolph.
Sheldon is survived by his son, Anthony (Jané) Farmer; daughter in love, Shaleta Horn; grandchildren, Jasmyn (Jamal) Patmon, Jaliya Farmer; great-grandchildren, Parker Patmon, Kasen Patmon; sister, Sharron Ann O’Connor; niece, Gwen Williams; great-nephew, Shod Ford.
Sheldon's kind nature and good sense of humor endeared him to all who knew him. His infectious laughter could brighten even the darkest of days and he spread joy wherever he went.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 11 AM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, with Pastors Cory & Demetria Macon officiating.
