Shelia Hamby Bell, 71, of Villa Rica, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024. She was born on May 12, 1952, the daughter of the late Quinton Franklin Hamby and the late Nira Goodson Hamby Mathis.
Shelia loved her family immensely, especially her grandchildren. She owned The Groomers Place in Villa Rica for several years, demonstrating her love for animals. Not only was she employed as a groomer, she laid a foundation for three more generations of groomers. She was a “Jack of all trades.” She really enjoyed fishing, it brought her great joy. Shelia will be deeply missed by so many.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Sloan Richard Bell; sisters, Pam Knoell and Tereca Osburne.
She is survived by her children, Shellie Shealey of Villa Rica, Tonya Caldwell of Ranburne, Collie Dawn Brown of Villa Rica, Loyd Shealey of Austell, Ricky Bell of Bremen; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews also survive.
In accordance with her wishes, she was cremated. The family will have a private celebration of life at her home on Sunday, May 12, 2024.
