Shirley McManners

Mrs. Shirley Barker McManners, age 58 of Douglasville, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2019. She was born August 29, 1960, the daughter of the late Mr. William Allen Barker and Mrs. Dorothy Cain Padgett. She was a true Southern Christian woman who loved the Lord. Mrs. McManners loved her church and was very involved at Prays Mill Baptist Church where she taught AWANA. She was involved with “The Pantry,” on Highway 5, donated regular to the Kidney Foundation. She loved children and butterflies. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Allen Barker and Willie Mae Pruitt Barker. She is survived by her husband, Stephen McManners of Douglasville; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Mark Clark of Winston; brothers and sisters – in-laws, David Alan and Millie Barker of Florida, William Bill and Brenda Barker of Statesboro; Karen Cosby of Douglasville and Todd Clark of Winston, among several other nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville Monday, April 22, 2019 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 22, 2019 at 5:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville with Rev. Josh Buice officiating.
