Shirley Simpson

Mrs. Shirley Ruth Mayfield Simpson, age 68, of Bremen passed away, Tuesday, November 6, 2018. She was born May 15, 1950 in Dallas, GA the daughter of the late Mr. Hershell Aaron Mayfield and the late Mrs. Bessie Mae Richards Mayfield. She worked for worked for Royal Creations for 20 plus years and as cashier for several years. She was an avid Braves fan and loved to read. Mrs. Simpson was a loving mom, grandmother and great grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Nails; brother, Jerry Aaron Mayfield; sister, Mildred Opal Mayfield Brown. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Terry and Glenn Miller of Bremen; son and daughter-in-law, David and Amanda Craven of Buchanan; step-daughter, Cindy Hanson of Alabama; step-sons, Robert Nails of Alabama, Anthony Nails of Alabama; sister, Janie Mae Mayfield Tillery of Villa Rica; brother, Wendell James Mayfield of Dallas; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two expecting great-grandchildren; five nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Graveside services will be conducted Friday, November 9, 2018 at 12:00 PM from Meadowbrook Memory Gardens. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens.
