Shirley Ann Smith

Shirley Ann Smith, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on August 27, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on July 15, 1940, to the late Henry Frank Dillard and Oma Nell Hicks Dillard. She lived a long life and will be remembered with love by those who knew her.

She loved attending church and learning about the Lord, She was a clerk and treasurer at the Villa Rica COGOP for over 55 years, where she also taught Sunday School and played the piano. she was a faith-filled prayer warrior, devoted spouse, concerned mother, patient and loving grandmother, and a sweet great grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Edward Smith, her brothers, Johnny Dillard, and Joe Dillard; her sisters, Ruby Montague, Ruth Sharpe and Faye Padgett; her daughter-in-law Anita Smith. Their memory remained an important part of her life, and she now rests with those who went before her.

She is survived by her sons, Eddie Smith and Gregg Smith; her daughter-in-law, Wanda Smith; and her three granddaughters, Jessica Smith, Alyssa Smith and Breanna Dukes (Brent) two great grandchildren Benson and Alliana Dukes. She leaves behind a family who will carry her memory forward with affection and gratitude, holding close the love and connection they shared with her through the years.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Sunday, August 30, 2026, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Jones-Wynn - Villa Rica Chapel, 306 Westview Drive, Villa Rica, Georgia 30180. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 31, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Jones-Wynn - Villa Rica Chapel, followed by a graveside service at 12:00 PM at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens, 1100 Hickory Level Road, Villa Rica, Georgia 30180.
