Mrs. Shirley Rae Crews Watson, 82, of Temple, Ga passed away Monday, May 20, 2013 at her daughterâs home in Kennesaw, Ga. A native of Temple, she was born Nov. 1, 1930. She was Valedictorian of Temple High Class of 1947. She did her undergraduate work at West Georgia and University of Georgia. She obtained her Masterâs Degree from Peabody College, where she met James F. Watson Sr.. They married Aug. 21, 1955, and their union was blessed with Jimmy in 1956 and Christi in 1959. Mrs. Watson taught school in DeKalb and Carroll County from 1951 to 1975. She then taught kindergarten in Temple and Villa Rica from 1976 to 1991, when she retired. She was a lovely lady, wonderful mother, devoted wife, and strong Disciple of Jesus. She was preceded in death by her husband James F Watson, and her brother Alvin B. Crews, Jr. She is survived by her son, James F Watson Jr and his fiancé, Carol Vetra of Temple; her daughter and son-in-law, Christi and Ted Laseter of Kennesaw; and grand-dogs, Molly and Charlie.
