Shirley Yother

Mrs. Shirley Faye Yother, age 67, of Dallas, passed away September 4, 2018. She was born June 15, 1951 in Atlanta, the daughter of the late Mr. William Stephen Cox and the late Mrs. Ruby Lucille Baker Cox. She loved the Paulding Sr. Center, gospel music and singing, loved being with her family and friends. She lived for Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Mark Cox; brother, William Larry Cox; sister, Martha Matthews.She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Amanda and Jason Burton of Douglasville; daughter-in-law, Regina Cox; sister, Charlene Cochran of Dallas; grandchildren, Timothy, Stephen, Madison, and Taylor; great grandchild, Ava Grace; step-mother, Wilma Cox; several nieces , nephews and cousins also survive.The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 5:00 PM 9:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, September 7, 2018 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Weatherford, Mr. Scott Dodd, and Mr. Steve Frey officiating. Interment will follow Crestlawn Memorial Park in Atlanta.
