Sidney Kilgore

Mr. Sidney Lewis Kilgore, age 74, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Sunday, October 5, 2014. He was born January 10, 1940 in Stone Mountain, Georgia the son of the late Mr. Harry Eugene Kilgore and the late Mrs. Lillie Margaret Baker Kilgore. He served in the United States Marine Corp. He retired from the United States Postal Service where he worked as a postman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Harriett Thompson and Peggy Cleapor; and brothers, Charles Kilgore and Roger Kilgore. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Faye Thomas Kilgore of Douglasville; son, Staci Bryan Kilgore of Douglasville; daughter-in-law, Wanda Kilgore; three sisters, Dottie Bradford, Anna Jean Beco, and Pete Williams; one granddaughter, Kayla Kilgore; step granddaughter, Leslie Emory; two great-grandchildren, Stormy Emory and Kasey Emory; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Tuesday, October 7, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Dr. Rick Eaves officiating.
