Mr. Johnnie H. âSonnyâ Collum, Jr. age 60, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Douglasville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born October 27, 1952 in Douglas County, Georgia the son of Mrs. Viola Bowman Collum and the late Mr. Johnnie H. Collum, Sr. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and was of the Baptist Faith. He worked as an automobile mechanic for John Bleakley Ford and Gene Evans. He is survived by his wife, Fran Collum of Douglasville; daughters and son-in-law, Ashley and Josh Abercrombie of Douglasville and Desiree Collum of Douglasville; his mother, Viola Bowman Collum of Douglasville; sister and brother-in-law, Diane Dollar and Keith Kittredge of Douglasville; two grandchildren, Jayda Jenkins and Bentley Abercrombie, who affectionately knew him as PawPaw. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Friday, April 5, 2013 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Rev. Terry Marbut officiating. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens. The following will serve as pallbearers: Allen Kilgore, Phillip Shadix, Warner Webb, Jerry Sticher, Eddie Collins and Terry Eubanks.
