Stephen Brown Sr.

Mr. Stephen Lamar Brown, Sr., 65, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Saturday, December 5, 2015. He was born January 10, 1950 in Austell, Georgia, the son of the late Mr. William Green Brown and the late Mrs. Mary Virginia Smith Brown. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He worked as a Facility Technician at AT&T. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Brown. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Margie Elizabeth Barnhill Brown of Douglasville; daughter and son-in-law, Cathy Virginia and Paul Vasquez of Douglasville; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen Lamar Jr. and Lynn Barnhill Brown of Temple; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike and Frankie Brown of Powder Springs and David and Theresa Brown of Gadsden, AL; six grandchildren, Christy Barnhill Penny, Michael Scott Barnhill, Jr., Jennifer Nicole Taylor, Jonathan Brandon Taylor, Courtney Lauren Vasquez, and Joshua Austin Vasquez; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Saturday, December 19, 2015 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM. Memorial Services will be conducted Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville.
