Stephen Paul Makin, 65, of Carrollton, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024. He was born on September 30, 1959, the son of the late Geoffery Makin and the late Sylvia Lee.
Stephen held a deep appreciation for the great outdoors. He found immense joy in camping and following motor sports racing. He was a talented wood worker, artfully crafting beautiful projects that transformed spaces. Stephen's attention to detail and dedication as an engineer earned him the respect and admiration of his peers and clients alike. Each project was not merely a job but a reflection of his creativity and commitment to excellence.
He is survived by his wife Sharon Makin; sons and daughters-in-law, Lewis and Brandi Makin of Houston, Texas, Jordan Makin and Rachel Miles of Temple; daughter, Ella Makin of Carrollton; brother, Jonathan Grooms of England; sister-in-law, Lisa Masters; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gary and Ania Masters of England; father-in-law and mother-in-law Paul and Heidi Baseley; four grandchildren, Bradley, Declan, Liam, and Autumn; and many dear friends.
In accordance with his wishes, he was cremated, the family will have a celebration of Stephen’s life at a later date.
