Stephen "Steve" James Frashier

Stephen (Steve) J. Frashier, 73, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Wellstar Community Hospice in Cobb County, Austell, Georgia. He was born on December 2, 1952, the son of the late Jim and Dorothy Frashier.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Paula Jean Frashier; brothers, Mike Frashier, Dan Frashier, and Mark Frashier.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Steve Horton of LaGrange Georgia; son, Blaine Darden of Cape Coral, FL.; grandchildren, Shayna Culver, Shelby Culver, Madyson Darden, Ashley (Landon) Miles, and Abby (Tristan) Thompson; great-grandchildren; Oliver and Sophia Jones, Stephen and Amelia Cano, Emilee, Lea, Oaklyn and Cami Miles, and Rhett and Evelyn Thomopson.

Steve spent most of his childhood in Columbus, Ohio and then Pensacola Florida where he met Paula. After they married, he built his family and career working as a soft drink bottling operations manager for forty plus years.

He enjoyed playing softball and the trombone in his earlier years. In his free time, Steve loved bowling and doing puzzles. He was a huge fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Atlanta Braves. Steve was a loving husband, father, and PePaw to his family.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Douglas Chapel from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
