Susan "Sue" Ione South

Susan “Sue” Ione South, 66, of Villa Rica, Georgia, Passed away peacefully on October 8, 2026. She was born on October 31, 1959 to the late, Rodney and Loretta Schrock.

Sue was a strong-willed woman with a big heart, someone who would help anybody. She believed in doing things right the first time, and that steady, determined way of living shaped the care she gave to her home and to the people she loved. She was very family oriented and loved her children and grandchildren dearly, holding them close in her heart throughout her life.

Among the greatest joys of Sue’s life was the love she shared with her husband, Danny, whom she loved with all her heart. She also found happiness in the simple and beautiful things of everyday life, especially working with her plants and caring for her special dog, Bandit.

As her family and friends mourn her passing, they also celebrate the life she lived and the love she shared so freely. Sue South will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

In Addition to her parents, Sue is preceded in death by her grandson, Cody Waggoner.

Mrs. Sue is survived by her loving husband, Danny South of Villa Rica, Georgia; daughters, Carrie (Clint) Clark of Carrollton, Georgia, Dawn Marie Dannen of Miles City, Montana; sister, Mary Jane Baker of Indiana, Debra Schrock of Alabama, Linda Schrock of Montana; brothers, Edward Schrock of Washington State, Dale Schrock of Montana; grandchildren Alexis, Michael, Ainsley, Savannah, Mary, Dylan and Riley. She was also survived by several great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 12, 2026 from 5:00PM-7:00PM. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at 2:00PM at Jones Wynn Funeral, Villa Rica Chapel. Interment to follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens, Villa Rica. 

Tyler Jones, Carl Jones, Jeff South, Brett Ashmore, Chaz Besinger, and Rodrick Hudson will serve as pallbearers.
