Mrs. Syble Merritt Ragsdale, 84 of Douglasville, GA passed away, Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Douglasville Nursing and Rehab in Douglasville. She was born February 6, 1929 in Steger, IL the daughter of the late John H. Merritt and the late Mrs. Eva Decker Merritt. She was a homemaker and was a child care provider. She was a member of the New Genesis Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, J. Harold Ragsdale and brother and sister-in-law, Morris and Eulene Merritt. Survivors include her daughters, Barbara Moreno of Winston, and Harolyn Ragsdale of Douglasville, one brother, Jack and Mary Merritt of Demorest, 4 grandchildren, Jill and Greg Faircloth of Orange Park, FL, Julie and Dave Spencer of Orange Park, FL, Andrew Moreno and Daniel Moreno both of Winston, , 5 great grandchildren, Bryan Dickinson of Orange Park, FL, Steven and Lindsey Dickinson of Cumming, Alex Faircloth of Augusta, Justin Hicks of Orange Park, FL and Riley Spencer of Orange Park, FL, one great great grandchild, Avery Dickinson of Cumming. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home and Crematory in Douglasville, Friday, May 24, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted, Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Lloyd Latham officiating. Interment will follow in the Little River Methodist Cemetery in Woodstock. Messages of condolences may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com.
