Sylvan Ross Henson

Mr. Sylvan Ross Henson, age 82, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2007 at Wellstar Cobb Hospital. He was born September 26, 1924 in Hayesville, North Carolina. Mr. Henson was a retired Barber and was a member of the Unicoy Masonic Lodge and a Shriner. He was a veteran of the United States Army and the United States Air Force having served in World War II and the Korean conflict. Mr. Henson was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, Mr. Henson was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Eleanor Hatfield Henson and is survived by one granddaughter Jessica Anderson, of Villa Rica, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be conducted Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Georgia with Pastor Mark Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in College Park. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Jones-Wynn Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
