Tammie Lou Beverly

Tommie Lou Beverly, 91, of Douglasville, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026. She was born on October 1, 1934 in Carbon Hill, Alabama to the late Josie Ashmore Nelson and John B. Nelson. She lived a wonderful life marked by her steadfast faithfulness to the Lord.

Tommie worked many years at a variety of clothing stores during her life. Many people will remember her as the lady at the Sugar Plum Tree Children's Store that was in Douglasville some years ago.

Throughout her life, she enjoyed being with people. For many years, she was active at the Woodie Fite Senior Center - often volunteering to help with the various activities. She loved her home, she loved her family, and she loved The Lord.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, James L. Beverly; brothers, George Holcomb, Jim Holcomb and Bob Nelson; and son-in-law, Mike Spivey.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Spivey; grandchildren, Matt Spivey and Melissa Spivey; sister, Carolyn Herron; and sister-in-law, Doris "Dot" Holcomb; as well as many other family members.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Mozley Memorial Gardens - 3180 S Sweetwater Rd, Lithia Springs, GA 30122.
