Ted Charles

Mr. Ted Howell Charles, age 86, of Douglasville, formerly of Dalton, passed away, Saturday, August 3, 2019. He was born August 30, 1932 in Elijay, the son of the late Mr. Garrett Earl Charles and the late Mrs. Lula Agnes Smith Charles. Mr. Charles served in the United States Air Force. He worked in the printing industry for many years. Mr. Charles was a member of the Chattahoochee Valley Poultry Association. He enjoyed camping, boating, skiing, and fishing at Lake Lanier. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his great-grandchild, Aerosyn Williams; sisters, Margaret Neal, Theda Charles, Jean Dunn and Earline Lorberbaum. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Peggy Charles of Douglasville; daughter, Donna Morrow of Douglasville; son Gary Charles of Douglasville; three grandchildren, Alicia Charles Williams, Corey Morrow, Hannah Ward; great grandchildren, Maddax Morrow, Brinlee Williams, and Axil Williams; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville Monday, August 5, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Graveside Services will be conducted Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 2:00 PM from Whitfield Memorial Gardens, Inc. in Dalton with Mr. Jerry Smith and Mr. Bob Steele officiating.
