Teresa Lynn Mitchell

Mrs. Teresa Lynn Mitchell, age 42, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Wellstar Douglas Hospital. She was born July 27, 1967 in Villa Rica, Georgia the daughter of Mrs. Evelyn Jordan Smallwood and the late Mr. Jerald Eugene Smallwood. She worked as a tax preparer for H&R Block and was a member of King’s Way Baptist Church in Douglasville. She loved traveling, playing board games and enjoyed playing bingo with her mother. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister who enjoyed spending her time with family. She was preceded in death by her father, Jerald Eugene Smallwood on April 24, 2004; and her father-in-law, Curtis Mitchell, Sr. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Curtis Lee Mitchell; her son, Austin Lee Mitchell; her mother, Evelyn Jordan Smallwood of Douglasville; sister and brother-in-law, Valorie and Isaias Cruz of Douglasville; brother, Jerry Smallwood of Douglasville; paternal grandmother, Seva Smallwood of Douglasville; mother-in-law, Martha Harvey; brothers-in-law, Timmy Mitchell and Alfred Mitchell; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Services will be conducted Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 12:00 PM at Trinity Tabernacle Baptist Church in Mableton. Messages of condolence to the family may be sent from www.jones-wynn.com.
