Mrs. Thelma Chandler Hollis, age 90, of Douglasville passed away Monday, February 14, 2011. She was born February 2, 1921 in Douglas County, the daughter of the late Mr. Gene Albert Chandler and the late Mrs. Ada Mae Chandler. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church for sixty years where she served as church pianist and organist. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband, James W. Hollis; sister, Mae Fuller and brother, Ray Chandler. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and David Graham of Douglasville; sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald âJerryâ and Carole Hollis of Douglasville, Jack and Joyce Hollis of Ranburne, AL; six grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Service will be conducted Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 2:00 PM from Ebenezer Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Eidson, and Rev. Jeff Childers officiating. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery with Rev. Mike Powers officiating. Flint Hill Lodge # 371 will serve as honorary escort. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville Wednesday, February 16, 2011 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
