Mrs. Thelma Nordquist Peterson Patterson, age 86, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Sunday, October 9, 2011 at her residence. She was born October 20, 1924 in Providence, Rhode Island the daughter of the late Mr. Carl Emil Nordquist and the late Mrs. Ella Marie Nyberg Nordquist. She was of the Lutheran Faith and worked as a bookkeeper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank H. Peterson in 1982 and second husband, Claude Francis Patterson in 2007; sister, Ruth Nordquist Wood; and brothers, Carl Nordquist, Jr. and Peter Nordquist. She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Frank Peterson of North Carolina, Carl and Latain Peterson of Starke, FL, Jon and Elizabeth Peterson of Morriston, FL, and Karen Peterson of Douglasville, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Doris Gooding of Michigan, Joyce Benson of Florida, and Carlene and Frank Boudreau of Texas; sister-in-law, Jeanne Nordquist of Rhode Island; 5 grandchildren, Carl Peterson, Jr., Betsy Kelly, Bryan Kelly, Jennifer Woodbury and Jon Michael Peterson; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. According to her wishes, she was cremated. No service is planned at this time.
