Thelma Watson Swanson

Mrs. Thelma Watson Swanson, 86, of Highway 78W, Temple, Georgia passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at her residence. She was born December 3, 1919, in Douglas County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late William Thomas Smallwood and the late Ludelia Hembree Smallwood. Mrs. Swanston was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Temple, Georgia. She enjoyed gardening and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Swanson was preceded in death by her husband, William Reese Swanson; her daughter, Gloria Jean Swanson; her sons, Thomas Watson Swanson and Gary DeWayne Swanson; and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include her daughter, Shirley Lanham of Temple; her son and daughter-in-law, Elwyn and Helen Swanson of Carrollton; sister, Opal Price of Senoia; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, great-great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, February 3, 2006 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Dr. Corky Addison officiating. Musical selections will be performed by Mrs. Wanda Addison. Interment will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Villa Rica, Georgia.
