Mr. Theodore Frank Ziegert, age 90, was called to the Lord on Thursday, November 11, 2010, peacefully in his Villa Rica home where he was surrounded by family and friends. He was born February 19, 1920 in Bridgeman, Michigan the son of the late Mr. Herbert Ziegert and the late Mrs. Hattie Ott Ziegert. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and worked as a supervisor for Trupoint Manufacturing and was a farmer. He loved gardening and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting. He married Marilyn Jean Miller on June 22, 1963. Mr. Ziegert was a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Douglasville. Ted was a proud veteran of World War II and impacted many peopleâs lives both emotionally and spiritually. We lost another member from a truly great generation but more importantly a true American patriot. He will be missed by all. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Marilyn Jean Miller Ziegert of Villa Rica; daughters and sons-in-law, Tarice and James Nail of Lithia Springs and Penny and Danny Osbourne of Elkhart, IN; sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Jean Ziegert of Chelsea, AL, Courtland Dennis of Scottville, MI and Stanley Dennis of Elkhart, IN; brother and sister-in-law, Norman and Loraine Ziegert of Plymouth, MI; grandchildren, Isaiah Ziegert, Theodore Osbourne, Jacob Nail, Cheyene Osbourne, and James Nail; several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Services will be conducted Monday, November 15, 2010 at 11:00 AM from Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 3988 Highway 5, in Douglasville.
