Theresa Faye Hackney

Theresa Faye Hackney, 52, of Bremen, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025. She was born on November 1, 1972, the daughter of the late David Paul Hackney, Sr. and the late Mary Jane Shepherd.

Theresa was a kind and sweet lady who dedicated her life to loving and caring for her family, especially her grandchildren. She found joy in simple pleasures, whether it was preparing meals for her loved ones or tidying up her home with care. In her leisure time, Theresa enjoyed watching TV, particularly “Reba” and “Chicago Fire.” She also liked to play mobile games such as Monopoly Go and matching games. Theresa, mornings often began with her coffee.

She is survived by her children, Timothy Tennyson, Jr. of Columbus, Arnold Tenneson of Bremen, Ginger Southerland (Andrew Hamby) of Bremen, and Mary Southerland (Jason Banister) of Bowdon; fiancé, Joseph Wilson of Bremen; step-son, Dereck Wilson of Perry, GA; brothers, Roger Hackney (Kristin) of Whitesburg, David Hackney, Jr. of Alabama; grandchildren, Braidyn, Kyler and Bailey; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel with the funeral service at 2:00 PM.
